Boris is sitting in a church, his head bowed to the floor. He is sitting in the 3rd pew from the front and the only other person in site is an old lady at the back. He is holding a rosary and is fingering the beads, muttering ‘Hail Mary’s”. He is very unshaven and unkempt, a singlet is on him that once was white but now is grey down the front. It is early morning and the priest has entered, holding a thermostat and makes his way to Boris. He gives the coffee to Boris and pats him on the shoulder, walking away to prepare his sermon for the morning. He makes his way to the altar, where a white cloak awaits him but he is drawn away as he sees another man, much smaller and much better dressed. He is leaning on the door of the confessional, staring at Boris. The priest approaches him and gives Lover quite a shock
Priest: “My child, do you wish to confess your sins to me, so you can be cleansed”
Lover: “Oh, not right now, like, I…”
Priest: “Yes…”
Lover: “I got no money, like, what does it cost”
Priest: “Forgiveness costs nothing but faith”
Lover turns from Boris to the priest
Lover: “Faith in what?”
Priest: “The father, our Lord, God, the teachings of the son, our saviour Jesus Christ and the strength of the holy spirit”
Lover: “Isn’t it in the bible that ‘faith without works is dead’?”
Priest: “Yes it is, that’s why you must have faith in following the holy trinity, and they will guide you where you need to go”
Lover: “And will faith forgive me for treachery and adultery?”
The priest looks at Boris and then at Lover and nods in understanding
Priest: “The golden rule of Jesus was ‘do unto others as you would have them do unto you’”
Lover: “Sort of like Karma?”
Priest: “You could say that. But my child, time is of the essence, is it a confession you seek?”
Lover: “Not confession, but forgiveness”
Lover walks away from the priest and towards Boris. He gets a metre away when Boris tells him to stop
Boris: “You don’t want to come any closer Lover, that’s if you value your well being”
Lover: “I don’t want any trouble, I just wanted to say I am sorry for all your grief and…”
Boris gets up and looks at Lover with his blood shot eyes
Boris: “You don’t want any trouble? When you took my Kitty away from me, that’s when you had trouble”
Lover: “She came onto me…”
Boris grabs Lover by the throat and gets into his face
Boris: “No excuses, you are before the eyes of God now and me, I am an Angel of God, ready to deliver judgment to those that have scorned me”
Boris pushes Lover into the back of one of the pews, sending him toppling over it. Lover gets up a little dazed but he shakes it off
Boris: “You took all that was holy to me, well I want revenge. And it starts here”
Boris leaps for Lover but Lover jumps up onto the chair and avoids him
Lover: “Wait, wait till Meltdown, not in this church”
Boris considers for a moment and nods. Lover turns and is about to jump off of the chair but as he does Boris grabs his shirt and throws him hard to the ground of the aisle. Boris stalks him and stands over Lover, in the background we see the priest entering the confession box with the old lady. Boris and Lover were alone in the church now. Boris grabs Lover by the shirt again and throws him to the ground. Lover scrambles up and walks backwards up the aisle to the alter, Boris following, a burning look of hatred in his eyes. Boris pushes Lover and he falls down. Lover is now crawling backwards, facing Boris, who has reached down and grabbed him by the throat.
Boris: “You are going to see hell today and on Sunday you will be there!”
Boris brings Lover to his feet and slams him into the back of the alter, once, twice, three times. Lover is now on his knees in front of Boris, who is slapping the top of his head. Lover gets up and tries a few swings at Boris, but is too groggy to make a connection. Boris smiles dementedly and slams him into the alter again, forcing Lover back to his knees. Boris puts Lovers head in between his knees and lifts him up, powerbombing him onto the alter. Lover is now on the top of the alter and soon Boris is too. Boris turns to the wall and grabs the large crucifix on it, ripping it from its rusty holdings. Lover is now getting up, only to face Boris, who is wielding the crucifix as a weapon. Lover gets hit in the stomach, doubling him over and then on his back, which brings him to his knees. Boris grabs him by the throat once more and pulls him up, priming for the chokeslam but lets go as the priest comes out and shouts at him. Lover drops onto his back, still on the alter and Boris gets down.
Boris: “You see hell, Lover? Well get comfortable, cos its your new home”
Boris storms from the church with the priest checking on Lover
