Keep in mind some ppl are mindless fucks without a creative bone in their body, so they will always go with a Real Wrestler. Even if they pick a real wrestler that you can do a lot with, eg. Carlito, Kurt Angle etc, they still cant rp well.
However the same goes for created wrestlers. When you get a poor created wrestler two things can occur
1) They do not develop the character whatsoever and allocate to him no specific gimmick or history or
2) They are really bad anyway so even though they have a created character and have limitless possibilities they invariably imitate a real wrestlers style and sayings anyway
So it is all relative on what your Roleplaying skills are like. And as I said before, watch out for Raven and Orton...they have taken their Real wrestlers further than most can
