Joey Malone is smiling, rubbing his neck, as he stands in front of the camera, ready to cut a promo on Matt Hare. He takes a long deep breath, puts his arms at his side and straightens himself up. With a determined gaze he begins talking
Joey: "Matt Hare, my former best friend, you think that I don't know what you think of me? You could have kept those little glory hog comments to yourself, couldn't you? But no, you go and ruin what I will accept and think of as the greatest tag team in DUEW history and tell everyone that it was nothing but your skill that got us by. Well man, thats cool. Thanks a lot"
Joey's face turns from being serious to a smiling, friendly one
Joey: "Hell man, if you weren't so scared of me, I'd shake your hand right now. You see being with you was great but I'll admit, I did lose my drive and focus. However there was a time when you had the World title around your waist and I had the Aussie and I realised I was playing below myself, that I should be the World title holder, but because I am a noble guy and I have never betrayed a friend, I stuck it out. That was until you stabbed me in the back"
Joey utters out the last words with a certain level of disgust
Joey: "Its been that way always. Back in Napoli when I was in that gang, I was the one who was betrayed. With ESL, I got turned on by that son of a bitch Boris Levin. Bret Hart ripped me off too when we were tag champs and you and Julio did the same. Now you might think, I shoulda known by now. I should have seen it coming, but what I know is this. Friends are valuable things, but ultimately I know that if and when they screw me over, I can always bounce back. Look at the history of it: the guys that turned on me in the gang, dead"
Joey looks right down the lens, smiling coldly
Joey: "Boris Levin is still on the damn injury list, Bret Hart had no success since leaving me and now he has bailed out and I tell you what, you and Julio are gonna be next. Its only up for me from now and down for you. You think I am a glory hunter? Yeah, its true, because once I beat you and become the Number One contender, I am gonna go on and hunt and find glory against Nightmare and win the World Title!"
