AFL... why?? because AFL is a highly skilled sport and its more fast moving which gets the crowed more pumped... but with NRL it is always stop/start, stop/start and it gets boring...... and also with AFL you never know what your going to get... (an awsome goal, an unbelieveable mark, a good bump ect ect)

AFL. Nicho, lol, you always point out the good things about what you like and the bad things out of what you don't. Of course, I perfer AFL but there is -belienve it or not- some positives to NRL, you just point out the negatives... E.g. In NRL, there is some awesome tackles and runs, but I don't see them in your little paragraph...same with JBL vs Cena arguement.

NRL NRL NRL NRL NRL NRL NRL NRL NRL NRL NRL!!!! I'm sorry but saying that GayFL pisses all over league is a crime. And wat do u mean NRL is all stop/start? thats union buddy. Its tackle, play ball, run, tackle, play ball run...no stops unless there is a penalty or a foul. In GayFL All these guys run around in 1 inch shorts botting a HARD red ball, or PUNCHING it to one another. You say that NRL doesnt take that much skill, well how hard is kicking a ball through sum sticks if that is what you do everyday for a job?? In league u gotta be able to run, step, find gaps, pass, offload, jump, kick, dive, dodge, think fast, chargedown, ankle tap...the list is endless! I'm sorry dude but im not going to let u give shit to league without a fight
(And if u say "i culd just say GayRL...well u cant coz it sounds hell stupid..and is a cop out coz ppl always say GayFL...glad we got that sleared up lol!)
P.S..NRL rules!

kick it through sticks aye... well obviously you dont know much about AFL. *stretches out and fights back*
* if i gave you a footy and said kick it to someone and make sure you hit the target... you wouldnt know what to do mate... these afl players hit there targets pretty much 90 out of 100 times a game. and thats skill....
*Its tackle, play ball, run, tackle, play ball run... that sounds pretty much stop/start to me!
**just pointing out some things you said about NRL**:
Run: AFL players probly run twice as much as what rugby players do (depending on what possision)... and AFL players would be twice as fit and faster than what rugby players would be!
Step: well when AFL is on TV, go have a look at how many players step in a game of footy and dodge tackles!
Find Gaps: In footy you actully got to use your brains aswell and find open space (gaps) to create good play!... football is a really fast moving sport and to find open space to create something you have to be prett skillfull conisdering you have players coming from you left, right, front and back at all times and your eyes cant be everywhere at once!
Pass: Passing in AFL is ALOT harder than what it is in NRL... as i said before... to hit a target in AFL is very hard considering there is so many options in front/back/left/right of you, and to kick a ball and it goes to where you want it to go is very skillful and the AFL players do it most of the time.
Offload: i dont belive that we have that in the AFL (so thats one thing you have on us)
Jump: AFL players probly jump about 10 times more in a game than what NRL players do... and the AFL players get high and to jump as high as they do and bring down a mark (catch) at the same time is brilliant and hard to do!
Kick: ive said it before... kicking a football through "two sticks" as you like to call it is harder than what you think... id like to see you 40 metres out and kick 10 goals in a row!... and also in AFL kicking most of the time is passing the ball off and to hit there target everytime and judge how and where there going to kick it is highly classy!
Dive: players in the AFL dive to take marks all the time and i belive taking a diving mark in AFL is alot hardewr than diving past a line to score!... players also use diving as apart of there defending game ...eg: dive to punch the ball away, dive back into a pack to create a contest so its a 50/50 ball!
Dodge: NRL players are good at this.. ill admit that... but the amount of times AFL players do it in a game under alot of pressue is great ... and they break tackles and keep on runing and even after dodging or breaking a tackle to kick the ball where they want it to go is unbeliveably great!
Thinking fast: AFL players think alot more on the field than what NRL players do, i mean comon... AFL players have got to watch there front/back/right/left all at the same time but with NRL "most of the time..not always" they have just got to concertrate on whats in front of them!... AFL when you have the ball you get get run down from either side .. you have to think quik and get it away while your under pressure and make sure you dont cough up the ball and give it to the opposition!
Chargedown: NRL only have this i think
Ankle Tap: pretty stupid if you ask me but thats only in the NRL!
**and some others that i have added**
Marking: to lead hard at the ball like most AFL players do and to mark the ball out in front on them with there hands is awsome, like to see NRL players do that, and most of the time AFL players mark the ball in the air (and they do get up high)... and some marks you see are unbeliveable!
Goals: kicking a footy through the goals can be harder than what you think at different times...... it could be on the boundry and the players use there skill it make the ball curve through the goals... now thats skill!.... players even kick it along the ground but they purposely kick it so it turns with the bounce so it goes through!... and then you get player like anthony rocca who kick 80 metre goals once every hour and again!... Even some skill full players run from the backline to the foward line just dodging tackles and sidesteping opponments and then adventully kick the goal!

gayRL... i never thought of that one, and i think itsd lame to.......... but the funny thing is you probly do live in sydney... and its basicly all NRL there.... you gusy are the odd ones out because the rest of the country follow AFL by a big majority over Rugby!
**now i wish i could RP that long**

Odd ones out? I'd settle for being just plain odd thank you very much!
Nicho, I can tell you from watching NRL live that it's not 'stop and start'. It's fast paced.
GayRL don't fit. N doesn't sound like gay.

Disturbed: [q]All these guys run around in 1 inch shorts botting a HARD red ball, or PUNCHING it to one another[/q]
In NRL, do they use a soft ball coz they are scared of it or something? exaggerating HARD was the biggest mistake you have made on this forum, Disturbed:P. Along with bagging AFL all over.!
But that whole point was piss weak. In no way does it prove that AFL is a bad game, nor that NRL is a good game... Here is my version of your point, from an AFL point of view:
"All these guys just run around in homie-G pants and jumpers trying to hurt each other, chasing after a fat-soft hacky-sack or running away from one-another and getting charged with rape!"

I don't think it matters which is the better game. All I know is that if I were to watch one of the two, it'd be NRL.

On the topic of marking; In NRL, they always take those pussy little chest marks. Not once in NRL have I seen someone take a catch away from their chest. Whereas in AFL, we are taught not to take chest marks from about under-9's. Taking a chest mark is showing you are not confident in yourself, the only time a player takes a chest mark in AFL is if they are totally clear, but most players still don't take chest marks, even then.
Ankle Taps: This is just a girly way of tackling! The players are too lazy to catch their opponent, so they just reach out and trip them like girls! In AFL, you get penalized for being a sissy, unlike in NRL.
:And people call AFL a pussy's game: True fact - There are more injuries in AFL than in Ice-Hockey, let alone in NRL.

cmon..if u r saying we get chared with rape u gotta stop for a second. Personally, and im not just backin up nrl, hell im also backing up afl, so hear me out, as soon as that lady said that she got "raped", about another 10 of em popped up saying "i got raped by a union star" or "sum guys that play afl raped me to" and "Nrl guys raped me". It was all a bunch of shit for them to try and make sum money....and if u r going to make sum comeback like it all started with nrl, ill leave u with this. The only chik who actually had bruising was the one that "alledgedly" got raped with an afl player...even tho i dont rekon it happened.
