Getting more people

Hi all!

I was thinking that we could possibly get more people to join the fed coz even with the return of Stripes we still have a pretty short roster.

So what I suggest is an advertising campaign of a new kind. I think that together we can write a DUEW diary and eventually post it in a couple of forums. The one who post it should add a DUEW banner in his sig so we can get the people to come to the site and join the fed.

I know that it's no guarantee that new people will come but if they like the diary there is a chance that they'll consider joining the fed and when they do sign up one of us can kind of help them to get involved in their first storyline right away so they will have a reason to come back for several weeks at least and hopefully like it here and stay. And in the meantime we can get them in the diary as well so others will follow their example. I already have a couple of suitable forums where I'll post it and you guys can do that too.

I'm ready to work on it but it'd be better if some of you guys help me out as well. I'll need help with writing the backstory and everything. I suggest that we make it mostly entertaining diary with short results and a lot of backstage segments and things going on before and after the show. Also I think that it'd be good to include the former DUEW wrestlers as well so we'll have a healthy roster.

Having all of that said I wanna know what you think and who would be able to help me out with this?

That sounds good, but you have to watch out which forums you post it at, as some have quite strict rules on advertising. A good idea, but we should research which forums to hit up before we start the idea.

Go check it out, its like an online encyclopedia for eFeds, although it is made by the owners so i'd imagine there is a heap of shit in there thats not true/bending the truth. I'd be willing to write a page for DUEW, but I got no idea about how to use wiki formatting. If anyone is able to change what I write into wiki acceptable, that would be great. Then we can have a page to refer people to if we want to describe the eFed to them

I think that I'll manage to deal with the Wiki formating. It's not really that hard. So you just write an article and I'll do my best to format it properly and post it!

About the sites in which I'm considering posting... Keep in mind that we won't post an ad but a diary (otherwise it won't have any effect at all) so it's not really advertising of any type. The only ad will be in our sigs which is okay by any board rules. I haven't seen a single board where it is not okay.

So I have these few ideas for good forums:

1. Extreme Warfare Battleground - It's EWR board and has a section for diaries which is great. A lot of users too. It however only allows posting of diaries based on EWR so we'll need to book the diary in a game scenario but I've already made one so it's alright. I'll however need some serious help with the booking...

2. Bulgarian Wrestling Community - It's relatively big forum for the Bulgarian standarts and there are several people keen on rping. Some of them pretty good I can tell you coz I used to run a small time e-fed there for several months. So it can bring us some good rpers and then we won't be the only Bulgarian on the board as well It also has a games section which is a big plus!

3. WEForums - A nice place. 300 - 400 users all day long which means that it has a huge traffic. I'm not that popular there coz I rarely ever post but they have Be The Booker section on their board and I can do a couple of posts in the other sections as well. So we need a good and appealing sig to make them read the diary and eventually join the fed!

4. Wrestle Xtreme - one of the biggest Multimedia sources for wrestling on the net. The people mainly visit it for that but it also has be the booker section and 200 - 300 people all day long so it also has a nice traffic. I'm a V.I.P. there which is a plus! A minus can be that they have an E-fed but it's not really what an e-fed is supposed to be so I think that we can get some rpers from there too.

5. Wrestle Your Way - About 300 people constant traffic. Has a Book This! section and is relatively well known board on the net. Unfortuynately I rarely ever post there but I can make some post to get my name seen if you know what I mean!

I think that even if we only post in these boards it can be alright but I want to make it as big as possible coz with Advertising campains you never know if it will work out for sure. So guys I suggest that you all give some ideas for boards where we can post the diary and then just consider the proper formatting and eventually start writing it, huh?

By the way it'd be good to get more Australian boards coz after all it's an Australian e-fed. I only know two... auswrestling .com but the board there is pretty much dead! Then there's SAL but I had some difficulties when I tried to log in so can someone tell me if it still works?

So what do you think? Your suggestions?

First of all I think you stole my idea!

Second of all I think we should say that it's first EWR/e-fed diary and make a banner "Join The Experiment" or something.... Make more lambs come down here and RP

also I think we need to make it really funny and interesting to read by writing what's going on in the fed after the show and may be make a few post what's going on with the wrestlers' lifes when they are not on the ring. You know ...

And one last thing I think that it will be the best thing if we put DUEW banner on the top of each post and on the banner we'll have like .... Click and Join The Experiment ... If you dare! Or something... And on the end of each post leaving the url to our wikipedia site.

EDIT: I just wanna say that .... We'll need a back up planif too many people join us and we became like e-fed with 30 or more online users...

^^Not too hard...we have one massive show with everybody on it. I'm sure a few won't rp at least, so those guys get cut. If we got too many still, make some new titles and split the roster onto two shows, one Sunburn, one something else...not sure yet
