This is a little unorthodox, but so is the subject of my post, so excuse me breaking the norms
My favourite wrestler, Gene Snitsky:

...A little known fact is that Gene Snitsky was the original Stone Cold character, known as "Stone Cold Snitsky" but after Vince McMahon witnessed the awesome damage of Snitsky, teamed with this new character idea (3 wrestlers suffered broken eyes and the entire audience killed themselves) he removed it and decided to wait another 8 or so years to release Snitsky onto the masses
