DUEW vs The World
The show starts with green and gold pyro shooting out from the large titan-tron set and the crowd going wild. On the main titan-tron is the official DUEW vs The World banner. The camera then focuses on the two DUEW announcers, Tom C and Jonathon Jefferies.
Tom C: Everybody, welcome to DUEW vs The World! This is DUEW’s first ever American television show, and by-god are we excited!!
JJ: That’s right, Tom. Tonight, DUEW is going to show the world what it really has to offer. Here’s a quick overview of what tonight’s show is all about; there will be a total of six matches. The matches are as follows; DUEW’s Phenom, Nightmare will take on ‘The Monster’ Abyss.
Tom C: Sick Nick Mondo will be coming out of retirement to take on the DUEW Deathmatch champion, Disturbed in a ‘Falls Count Anywhere – Weapons Count Everywhere’ match.
JJ: The team of Ultimo Dragon, ‘The Juice’ Juvetud Guerrra, Petey Williams and their captain, Chris Jericho will be taking on DUEW’s Ken Paradise, Mr Lover, Sucky and their team captain, Hunter in an Captain Fall elimination match.
Tom C: Team 3D, formerly known as the Dudleys have set out a challenge for Nicho “Z” and a ‘mystery partner’ to take them on in a tables match. Nicho has accepted the challenge and has told DUEW.com that he knows exactly who his partner is going to be, and we will find out tonight.
JJ: The three members of ‘World Class Lineup,’ Matt Hare, Joey Malone and Julio Gonzales will be facing the team of AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels and Chris Sabin to decide the best ‘all round’ team in the world.
Tom C: And in the main event, the DUEW World Champion, Jonny Stripes will be in action against the IWGP World Champion Brock Lesnar.
JJ: And the points system…
Tom C: Yes, of course. All matches except for the Main Event and Captain Fall matches will be worth one point each. In the Captain Fall elimination match, each pinfall, submission, count-out or disqualification will be worth one point. And the Main Event will be worth two points.
‘No Chance’ then hits the speakers and Mr Howard comes out onto the stage wearing a grey suit with yellow shirt and yellow tie, with a microphone in his hand. He looks around at the crowd, who are all cheering madly, smiles and raises the mic to his mouth.
Mr Howard: Good evening, my name is Mr Howard – the owner of Down Under Extreme Wrestling. I was approached last month by a man called…Jerry Jarrett.
The crowd cheer.
Mr Howard: Mr Jarrett proposed to me an idea. An idea what would not only give DUEW the international exposure it deserves, but it would give myself and the whole DUEW roster to prove to the world that we are not only a threat to the ‘major companies’ but we are in fact a major player ourself! So I gave it some thought. Then, as you may of heard – we had some legal trouble with one of the biggest franchises in the world, Mc…no, I can’t say it. And those gutless sons of bitches took us off television. So the next night, I rang up Jerry and said ‘you know what, lets do it!’ And a date was set – July 2nd 2006, and look where we are now!
The crowd cheer loudly.
Mr Howard: Wait, what the hell am I doing?! You people want to see some WRESTLING!
The crowd cheer.
Mr Howard: Ok, lets get this started. The following match is the Captain Fall Elimination match! Introducing first, lead by their captain, Hunter – the team of Ken Paradise, Mr Lover and Sucky. Team…DUEW!
The Australian National Anthem plays over the speakers and all four members of Team DUEW emerge from backstage, all wearing black DUEW t-shirts. They then head down the ramp in ‘Indian file’ lead by Hunter. All members get into the ring, all (except Sucky) take off their t-shirts and they begin to talk between themselves.
Mr Howard: And their opponents. Lead by their captain, Chris Jericho – the team of Ultimo Dragon, Juventud Guerrera and Petey Williams. Team…World!
‘Break down the walls’ hits the speakers and Jericho, Juvi, Ultimo Dragon and Petey Williams make their way down the ramp in a group, all wearing red ‘themed’ attire. As they get to the bottom of the ramp, they all split up – each taking a side of the ring. At the same time, they all slide into the ring and pose.
JJ: Both teams showing great pack mentality there, both entering as a full team and with matching attires.
The ref sends all members of both teams except Ultimo Dragon and Ken Paradise to their corners.
*DING DING*
Ultimo and Ken circle the ring, and finally meet in the centre for a test-of-strength. As they lock in both hands, Dragon wins and kicks Ken straight in the stomach – forcing him to bend over. Ultimo then hits Paradise with repeated knees to the face. Ultimo Dragon then runs to the ropes, bounces back and hits Paradise with a running knee to the face – which sends Ken to the mat. Ultimo Dragon quickly walks over and tags in Juvi.
JJ: The first tag for this evening.
Juvi climbs to the top rope and jumps out to hit a frog splash, but Ken rolls out of the way and The Juice lands flat on the mat. Ken jumps over to his corner and tags in his brother, Mr Lover. Lover runs over to Juvi and begins to stomp him. He then helps him to his feet and hits a few punches to the cheek before Irish-whipping him into the ropes. On the rebound, Lover hits a dropsault to the face of Juventud.
Tom C: The speed and agility of these men truly astounds me, Jonathon.
He begins to hype up the crowd and run around the ring but Juvi sticks his leg out and trips him over. Juvi crawls over and puts Mr Lover in a sleeper hold.
Lover stays in the hold for about 10 seconds but eventually starts to get to his feet. Before Lover can get to a standing position, Juvi kicks him in the back of the knee, which causes Lover to ‘stand’ in a kneeling position. Still with sleeper hold locked in, Juvi reaches out and tags in Ultimo Dragon. Juvi keeps the sleeper hold in position and Ultimo bounces off the opposite ropes and Juvi lets go just in time for Mr Lover to get smacked in the face with a running dropkick. Dragon covers: 1…2…No. Lover kicks out. Ultimo covers again, this time pushing his forearm across the throat of Mr Lover – 1…2…Lover kicks out again.
Tom C: Great resilience from the former Australian champion.
Angry, Ultimo Dragon quickly helps Lover to his feet and Irish-whips him into the ropes. As he goes to rebound off the ropes, Hunter makes a blind tag on Lover. Lover continues to run and Ultimo Dragon hits him with a standing kick to the face. Hunter quickly gets into the ring and as Ultimo Dragon turns around – Hunter kicks him in the stomach, wrenches his arms and hits a Pedigree. He rolls Ultimo over and hooks both legs for the cover: 1…2…3. Chris Jericho just misses the interference, but Ultimo is eliminated.
Tom C: Hunter pins him! Hunter used the situation to his advantage there.
Ring Announcer: Ultimo Dragon has been eliminated. Team DUEW is on one point.
Ultimo slowly makes his way backstage and Chris Jericho jumps in as his replacement.
Tom C: Here it is, folks – the two captains facing off.
Hunter charges at Jericho, knocking him into the ropes. Hunter then Irish-whips Y2J into the opposite ropes, Hunter ducks, attempting to send Chris flying over his head. But Jericho stops, steadies up and hits a DDT on Hunter. Cover: 1…2…the count is broken by interference by Mr Lover. Lover is sent out of the ring and Jericho gets Hunter to his feet. He Irish-whips him into a corner and runs at him – hitting a Stinger Splash. He Irish-whips him again, running at him and hitting another Stinger Splash. He tries for one more Irish-whip, but Hunter reverses it and whips Y2J into the corner. Hunter tries for a Stinger Splash of his own, but Jericho ducks and Hunter lands face-first on the turnbuckle.
As Hunter walks dizzily out of the corner, Jericho hits a bulldog on him. But as he goes for a lionsault, Ken Paradise interferes. Jericho sees him while in mid-air and adjusts his momentum, hitting a springboard knee/thing kick to the face of Ken Paradise. All three men are now on the ground, but Jericho reaches out and tags in Petey Williams.
Tom C: Frequent tags shows great tag team wrestling. We can see that Team World are keeping fresh, which is what they need because of the handicap they are on.
Williams walks over to Hunter, who is now on his feet and kicks him in the stomach. He signals for the Canadian Destroyer, but Hunter reverses and throws Petey Williams over his head. Hunter throws himself forward over to his corner and tags in Sucky. As Sucky gets in the ring, he goes to step forward, but quickly reverts and tags in the nearest man – Mr Lover. Sucky quickly makes his way onto the ring apron and Mr Lover looks on in confusion.
JJ: Gosh that Sucky is a coward. Come on, he’s Canadian! What can he do?!
While Lover is half way through getting into the ring, Petey Williams runs and hits him with a knee to the side – which sends Lover crashing to the outside. Ken Paradise then gets into the ring and starts to lay into Petey with right hands. Ken is hit by a missile dropkick to the face when Juvi interferes.
Tom C: The referee really needs to get some order into this match.
Lover is back in the ring and only him and Petey are in action. Lover charges at Petey Williams and spears him into his corner. Lover tags in Hunter. The two then begin to mudhole stomp Petey, but the ref orders them off and helps Williams to his feet. Hunter and Petey begin to stare each other down in the ring before Petey charges at his opponent and knocks him into a corner. Petey then tries for a monkey flip, but Hunter lands on his feet. Both men are back to their feet and Hunter starts to punch Petey in the forehead. Without the ref noticing, Williams low-blows Hunter and throws his head between his legs; CANADIAN DESTROYER! Petey then puts his legs over the shoulders of Hunter and covers on a powerbomb position: 1…2…3.
Tom C: The captain?! Seems like DUEW are gonna be in big trouble without their captain!
Ring Announcer: Hunter has just been eliminated! Both teams are now on one point each.
Ken Paradise jumps in as Hunter’s replacement and clotheslines Petey. Paradise runs over and knocks the other two members of Team World off the apron. He then runs around the ring, hyping up the crowd. As he goes to turn around to Williams again, he gets hit with a superkick. Petey Williams covers: 1…2…Ken kicks out.
JJ: Close one there for Ken Paradise. He should keep his mind on the game and not the fans.
Petey gets Ken to his feet and hits a few forearms to his back before Irish-whipping him into the corner. He runs at Ken, but Ken raises his feet and Petey runs into a corner dropkick. Ken grabs Petey by the hair and throws him into the corner – he then climbs to the middle rope and begins to punch Petey in the face: 1…2…3…4…5…6…7…8…9…10. Paradise poses on the top rope, but then bends over and holds his genitals.
Tom C: Was that a BITE from Petey Williams?! That is one of the cheapest shots I’ve seen, and I’ve been commentating for over 12 years!
Petey then locks in a powerbomb and slams Ken down on the canvas. He jumps over and tags in Juventud. The two men make their way over to Ken and begin to stomp him. After about 10 seconds – the referee sends Williams out to the corner, Petey obeys. Juvi gets Ken to his feet and kicks him in the stomach, he then knees him in the face and lifts him up for a Michinoku Driver. As Juventud goes to hit the move, Ken leans backward and hits a reverse DDT. Ken then scrambles his way over and tags in Mr Lover.
Tom C: Finally Ken makes a tag to his brother.
Mr Lover runs over and grabs Juvi by both legs, then catapulting him into the ropes. Juvi lands on the ropes. Lover quickly gets to his feet and tags Ken Paradise back in. The two then grab a leg each and push Juventud’s legs down, so he lands on his feet. The two then both bounce off the opposite ropes and try for a double dropkick on Juvi, but Juvi ducks and both men go flying into the middle rope – one leg either side of the rope. Juvi grabs Ken and slams him on the mat and hooks both of Ken’s legs so they are away from the ropes: 1…2…3.
Ring Announcer: Ken Paradise has been eliminated! The score is now 2 to 1 in favour of Team World.
With the teams now 2 on 3, Lover gets in as the replacement for his brother. He and Juventud lock up, with Lover coming out on top – kicking Juvi in the stomach. He then throws Juvi’s arm over his head and hits a quick suplex. Cover: 1…2…Juvi kicks out. Lover then gets Juventud by the hair and helps him to his feet, Lover Irish-whips Juvi into the ropes, on the rebound he hits a hiptoss. As Juvi rolls to his feet, Lover Irish-whips him into the ropes again, on the rebound Lover jumps over Juvi – on the second rebound, Lover drops to the ground and hits a running monkey flip on Juvi. Lover then signals to head to the top rope. When he is standing on the turnbuckle, Lover poses and hits a 450 Splash on Juvi. Covers: 1…2…the count is broken when Sucky comes in and breaks the count.
Tom C: What the hell?!
Lover and Sucky argue. As the argument becomes more heated, Sucky backs away and gets back onto the ring apron. Lover stalks him over and begins to yell again. Sucky refuses to listen and Mr Lover punches him hard in the head. The referee signals for the tag, and only Team World notice this. Juvi jumps up and tags in his captain, Y2J – Chris Jericho. Jericho runs over to the opposing teams corner, pushes Mr Lover out of the road and suplexes Sucky into the ring. Y2J then springs off the ropes and hits a Lionsault on Sucky, covering by hooking the outside leg: 1…2…3.
Ring Announcer: Sucky has been eliminated. The score is now 3 to 1 in favour of Team World.
Tom C: Sucky is such an idiot.
JJ: I wouldn’t blame it all on Sucky, Tom. But whatever is happening - tonight seems to have started on a bad note for DUEW.
Now, with the odds 3 to 1 in Team World’s way, Mr Lover stands in the corner that was once home to Team DUEW – looking on at Chris Jericho, Petey Williams and Juventud Guerrera in the opposite corner. Juvi whispers something in the ear of his captain, and Jericho nods his head and makes the tag. Juvi laughs to himself before walking into the middle of the ring and challenging Lover to a test of strength. The two lock their fingers, but Juvi kicks Lover right in ther gut. Still with both hands joined, Juvi continues to kick Mr Lover until Lover jumps up onto Juventud’s shoulders – so he is kneeling while still locking their hands. He then lets go and Sunset flips over Juventud into a powerbomb cover: 1…2…Juvi kicks out. Lover then rolls Juvi backwards and jumps to his feet; double footed dropkick to the face! Lover covers again: 1…2…Juvi kicks out.
Tom C: This is great cruiserweight action!
Both men get to their feet and Mr Lover charges at Juvi. Juvi moves out of the way and Lover keeps running, he bounces off the ropes and Juvi jumps up and hits a Hurricanrana on Mr Lover. Cover: 1…Lover kicks out! Juvi charges at Lover and tries to hit a spear, but Lover takes control of his opponent and hits a DDT. He then gets to his feet and climbs to the top rope. As he is standing on the turnbuckle, Petey Williams runs over and pushes him off. Lover’s agility and balance allows him to land on his feet and in one motion, kicks the (now standing) Juvi in the gut and hits a Love Hit. He jumps on top of ‘The Juice’ for the cover: 1…2…3.
JJ: YES!
Ring Announcer: Juventud Guerrera has been eliminated! The score is now 3-2, still in favour of Team World.
Before Lover can safely get back to his feet – Chris Jericho runs in and dropkicks him in the face. He then signals for Petey Williams to climb to the top rope, and Petey does so. Chris Jericho kicks Lover hard in the stomach and, still bending over, pushes Lover about half a metre away from the corner – facing the turnbuckle. Petey Williams then drops down and in one motion, hits a Canadian Destroyer. About a second after the move is hit, Y2J locks in the Walls of Jericho. After about five seconds, Lover taps out. Jericho keeps the hold locked in for longer and the bell ring repeatedly. Chris still doesn’t let go. Then, the other members of Team DUEW (excluding Sucky) come running down the ramp and begin to gang-bash Jericho and Williams.
Ring Announcer: And the winners of this match, Team World!
Officials come running down the ramp to break up the fight and a video plays for the Main Event.
**The two men that lead their companies. The two men that captain their teams. The two men that face off in tonight’s main event. Which man will prove to be the most dominant person in professional wrestling?**
The scoreboard then comes up for the night. The table shows Team World has the advantage, and the score is 4 to 2 in favour of Team World.
JJ: I don’t know what your opinion is, but I thought that elimination tag match was amazing. Full of controversy.
Tom C: I think DUEW should have come out on top, but Sucky cost us the win!
JJ: You can’t blame everything on Sucky, Tom!

Hunter and Petey begin to stare each other down in the ring before Petey charges at his opponent and knocks him into a corner. Petey then tries for a monkey flip, but Hunter lands on his feet. Both men are back to their feet and Hunter starts to punch Petey in the forehead. Without the ref noticing, Williams low-blows Hunter and throws his head between his legs; CANADIAN DESTROYER! Petey then puts his legs over the shoulders of Hunter and covers on a powerbomb position: 1…2…3.
Tom C: The captain?! Seems like DUEW are gonna be in big trouble without their captain!
Ring Announcer: Hunter has just been eliminated! Both teams are now on one point each.
Ken Paradise jumps in as Hunter’s replacement and clotheslines Petey. Paradise runs over and knocks the other two members of Team World off the apron. He then runs around the ring, hyping up the crowd. As he goes to turn around to Williams again, he gets hit with a superkick. Petey Williams covers: 1…2…Ken kicks out.
JJ: Close one there for Ken Paradise. He should keep his mind on the game and not the fans.
Petey gets Ken to his feet and hits a few forearms to his back before Irish-whipping him into the corner. He runs at Ken, but Ken raises his feet and Petey runs into a corner dropkick. Ken grabs Petey by the hair and throws him into the corner – he then climbs to the middle rope and begins to punch Petey in the face: 1…2…3…4…5…6…7…8…9…10. Paradise poses on the top rope, but then bends over and holds his genitals.
Tom C: Was that a BITE from Petey Williams?! That is one of the cheapest shots I’ve seen, and I’ve been commentating for over 12 years!
Petey then locks in a powerbomb and slams Ken down on the canvas. He jumps over and tags in Juventud. The two men make their way over to Ken and begin to stomp him. After about 10 seconds – the referee sends Williams out to the corner, Petey obeys. Juvi gets Ken to his feet and kicks him in the stomach, he then knees him in the face and lifts him up for a Michinoku Driver. As Juventud goes to hit the move, Ken leans backward and hits a reverse DDT. Ken then scrambles his way over and tags in Mr Lover.
Tom C: Finally Ken makes a tag to his brother.
Mr Lover runs over and grabs Juvi by both legs, then catapulting him into the ropes. Juvi lands on the ropes. Lover quickly gets to his feet and tags Ken Paradise back in. The two then grab a leg each and push Juventud’s legs down, so he lands on his feet. The two then both bounce off the opposite ropes and try for a double dropkick on Juvi, but Juvi ducks and both men go flying into the middle rope – one leg either side of the rope. Juvi grabs Ken and slams him on the mat and hooks both of Ken’s legs so they are away from the ropes: 1…2…3.
Ring Announcer: Ken Paradise has been eliminated! The score is now 2 to 1 in favour of Team World.
With the teams now 2 on 3, Lover gets in as the replacement for his brother. He and Juventud lock up, with Lover coming out on top – kicking Juvi in the stomach. He then throws Juvi’s arm over his head and hits a quick suplex. Cover: 1…2…Juvi kicks out. Lover then gets Juventud by the hair and helps him to his feet, Lover Irish-whips Juvi into the ropes, on the rebound he hits a hiptoss. As Juvi rolls to his feet, Lover Irish-whips him into the ropes again, on the rebound Lover jumps over Juvi – on the second rebound, Lover drops to the ground and hits a running monkey flip on Juvi. Lover then signals to head to the top rope. When he is standing on the turnbuckle, Lover poses and hits a 450 Splash on Juvi. Covers: 1…2…the count is broken when Sucky comes in and breaks the count.
Tom C: What the hell?!
Lover and Sucky argue. As the argument becomes more heated, Sucky backs away and gets back onto the ring apron. Lover stalks him over and begins to yell again. Sucky refuses to listen and Mr Lover punches him hard in the head. The referee signals for the tag, and only Team World notice this. Juvi jumps up and tags in his captain, Y2J – Chris Jericho. Jericho runs over to the opposing teams corner, pushes Mr Lover out of the road and suplexes Sucky into the ring. Y2J then springs off the ropes and hits a Lionsault on Sucky, covering by hooking the outside leg: 1…2…3.
Ring Announcer: Sucky has been eliminated. The score is now 3 to 1 in favour of Team World.
Tom C: Sucky is such an idiot.
JJ: I wouldn’t blame it all on Sucky, Tom. But whatever is happening - tonight seems to have started on a bad note for DUEW.
Now, with the odds 3 to 1 in Team World’s way, Mr Lover stands in the corner that was once home to Team DUEW – looking on at Chris Jericho, Petey Williams and Juventud Guerrera in the opposite corner. Juvi whispers something in the ear of his captain, and Jericho nods his head and makes the tag. Juvi laughs to himself before walking into the middle of the ring and challenging Lover to a test of strength. The two lock their fingers, but Juvi kicks Lover right in ther gut. Still with both hands joined, Juvi continues to kick Mr Lover until Lover jumps up onto Juventud’s shoulders – so he is kneeling while still locking their hands. He then lets go and Sunset flips over Juventud into a powerbomb cover: 1…2…Juvi kicks out. Lover then rolls Juvi backwards and jumps to his feet; double footed dropkick to the face! Lover covers again: 1…2…Juvi kicks out.
Tom C: This is great cruiserweight action!
Both men get to their feet and Mr Lover charges at Juvi. Juvi moves out of the way and Lover keeps running, he bounces off the ropes and Juvi jumps up and hits a Hurricanrana on Mr Lover. Cover: 1…Lover kicks out! Juvi charges at Lover and tries to hit a spear, but Lover takes control of his opponent and hits a DDT. He then gets to his feet and climbs to the top rope. As he is standing on the turnbuckle, Petey Williams runs over and pushes him off. Lover’s agility and balance allows him to land on his feet and in one motion, kicks the (now standing) Juvi in the gut and hits a Love Hit. He jumps on top of ‘The Juice’ for the cover: 1…2…3.
JJ: YES!
Ring Announcer: Juventud Guerrera has been eliminated! The score is now 3-2, still in favour of Team World.
Before Lover can safely get back to his feet – Chris Jericho runs in and dropkicks him in the face. He then signals for Petey Williams to climb to the top rope, and Petey does so. Chris Jericho kicks Lover hard in the stomach and, still bending over, pushes Lover about half a metre away from the corner – facing the turnbuckle. Petey Williams then drops down and in one motion, hits a Canadian Destroyer. About a second after the move is hit, Y2J locks in the Walls of Jericho. After about five seconds, Lover taps out. Jericho keeps the hold locked in for longer and the bell ring repeatedly. Chris still doesn’t let go. Then, the other members of Team DUEW (excluding Sucky) come running down the ramp and begin to gang-bash Jericho and Williams.
Ring Announcer: And the winners of this match, Team World!
Officials come running down the ramp to break up the fight and a video plays for the Main Event.
**The two men that lead their companies. The two men that captain their teams. The two men that face off in tonight’s main event. Which man will prove to be the most dominant person in professional wrestling?**
The scoreboard then comes up for the night. The table shows Team World has the advantage, and the score is 4 to 2 in favour of Team World.
JJ: I don’t know what your opinion is, but I thought that elimination tag match was amazing. Full of controversy.
Tom C: I think DUEW should have come out on top, but Sucky cost us the win!
JJ: You can’t blame everything on Sucky, Tom!
